Air conditioning installation
Most systems that run badly were sized badly. We measure the house before choosing the equipment, not the other way round.
The equipment is sized to your house
A load calculation looks at the square footage, the orientation, the insulation, the windows and how many people live there. It is the difference between a system that holds temperature quietly and one that is forever starting and stopping. Oversizing is the most common mistake in this business: a unit that is too big cools the air fast, shuts off before it has pulled the humidity out, and leaves a house that is cold and clammy at the same time — which in Florida is the worst of both.
The ductwork gets checked too
New equipment on old ductwork inherits the old problem. Before quoting we look at what is already there: leaks, crushed runs, returns that are too small for the airflow the new unit needs. Sometimes the honest answer is that fixing the ducts will do more for your comfort than a bigger machine, and we would rather tell you that before you have spent the money.
You see the options side by side
Efficiency ratings turn into a monthly figure only when you put them next to what the equipment costs and how long you plan to stay in the house. We give you the comparison, not the brochure, and we say which one we would install in our own home and why.
The install day, and what is left behind
Drop cloths, shoe covers and the old equipment goes with us. The system is commissioned and tested in front of you: temperatures, airflow, the thermostat set up and explained. You get the paperwork you will need if you ever have to claim on the manufacturer warranty.
Common questions
Is a bigger unit better?
No, and it is the most common mistake we are called out to fix. An oversized system cools fast, shuts off before it has removed the humidity, and leaves the house cold and damp. Sizing comes from the calculation, not from rounding up.
Do I have to replace the ductwork as well?
Not always. We look at it before quoting and tell you honestly. If the ducts are the real problem, spending the money there gives you more comfort than a bigger unit would.
Is the quote free?
The written quote on a new installation is free. Repair diagnostics carry a service fee, which we credit against the work if you approve it.
How long does an installation take?
A straight replacement is usually a single day. If the ductwork or the electrical supply needs work as well, we tell you before we start how many days it will be.
Emergency
Is the system completely down?
That is the call to make, not the form to fill in. Tell us what it is doing and we prioritise it.
The other services
Air conditioning maintenance
Two visits a year, and most of the breakdowns we get called out to would not have happened.
Air conditioning repair
A system that stops cooling in a Florida August is not a job that waits. We diagnose first, put the price in writing, and start only once you have said yes.
